About the author:

Dr. Sujata Menon holds a doctoral degree in History, in addition to MA and M Phil in the same field. As an academician, she was full-time faculty member in History at M.S University of Baroda and Nirma University, Ahmedabad. Later, she began teaching and mentoring aspirants for the UPSC and state civil services. She has authored multiple books on history for the UPSC aspirants and is also a freelance oral historian. She has worked in documenting the narratives of living freedom fighters from Gujarat.
